	Wild Boy: My Life in Duran Duran: My Life in " Duran Duran " Author: Andy Taylor ISBN: 0752897276	Don't laugh ! I was in Dublin Airport and desperate for a book to kill some time on the flight to Seattle. It was more enjoyable than I expected. I've always had a soft spot for Duran and the story is worth telling.

	Backstage Passes and Backstabbing Bastards Author: Al Kooper ISBN: 0879309229	Oh what a fairground ride this book is. If you were ever in any doubt about the corrupt basis for the music industry this book will confirm all your suspicions. Self deprecating when necessary. This guy has lived.

	Eric Clapton: The Autobiography Author: Eric Clapton ISBN: 1846051606	If it's ghostwritten (of course it is...) it's very well done. He's a bit of an enigma to me. After reading this I'm no closer to figuring him out.

	Song Man: A Melodic Adventure, Or My Single-Minded Approach to Songwriting Author: Will Hodgkinson ISBN: 0747592950	Now that he has learned to play guitar he wants to write the perfect song and record a single. And why not ?

	Guitar Man Author: Will Hodgkinson ISBN: 0747585644	One man wants to learn guitar and perform live. Who can blame him ?

	Tunesmith: Inside the Art of Songwriting Author: Jimmy Webb ISBN: 0786884886	A book on songwriting ? Written by Jimmy Webb ? Required reading.

	The Beatles: The Biography Author: Bob Spitz ISBN: 0743551419	Got this a couple of years ago. Some internet warriors criticised it for some errors which I think is a little harsh. It goes into detail on their background and the history of Liverpool. A good solid read.

	Bringing it All Back Home Author: Ian Clayton ISBN: 1901927334	A memoir of a music lover. Oh my. I didn't see that ending coming. I really didn't.

	Conversations With Tom Petty Author: Tom Petty ISBN: 0825634717	A very readable collections of interviews with Tom Petty. It comes across as a conversation (hence the title...). I particularly enjoyed the sections about George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and the Traveling Wilburys

	Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles Author: Geoff Emerick ISBN: 1592402690	Doesn't have nice things to say about George. Is painfully loyal to Paul. Pity. This could have been a much better book. I still read it of course...
